Rocky Locklear, LPC, NCC

Rocky Alexander Locklear is a nationally certified, licensed professional counselor. His career path has varied; he served as a fourth grade math and science teacher for the Public Schools of Robeson County. While attending graduate school he worked with academic support center to aids the students at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He was born, raised, and resides in Maxton, NC. He attends Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church where he teaches Sunday school to his peers every 4th Sunday, and youth every Wednesday night. Rocky received his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) in 2008. He returned to UNCP and in 2016 he completed his Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

He loves to serve his community through local missions whether it is with Wakulla Grassroots, the youth group from his local church, or Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity. He loves to serve others, tend to his animals, landscape and garden, write poems, eat new foods, travel, and just be present with others no matter the culture. He understands that people are uniquely different but enjoys finding the commonalities that make us all human.
